OREANDA-NEWS. Vnesheconombank's delegation and representatives of Stack Data Network (SDN) participated in a ceremony in the city of Saint Petersburg to open the first module commercial data processing center (DPC) with a rated capacity 1476 stands. The Center is in line with TIER II requirements of TIA-942 international standard.

The project is being implemented with the financial support of State Corporation 'Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)'.

Implementation of investment projects aimed at developing innovations is one of Vnesheconombank's main lines of investment activity - a third of projects funded by the Bank are innovations ones. Under the Memorandum of Financial Policies strategic computer technologies, software as well as information-communications systems are included in Vnesheconombank's investment activity sectoral priorities.

This facility is the first step in implementing SDN strategy on creating a federal network of innovation DPCs in the largest business activity centers of the Russian Federation. Today, the first service module out of nine ones for 164 stands has been put into operation; next modules are to be launched every two months. Module data centers built on this technology give their clients unique opportunities for implementing projects and business tasks of any degree of complexity and innovability.

Besides technological modules the complex is composed of storage and office premises, standby fuel storage facility, loading and parking zones. Infrastructure to be created will make it possible to offer unique services on establishing reserved areas in service premises with individual characteristics of reliability, data backup and access control.

This project's implementation will make it possible to ensure high reliability and continuity of IT processes as well as create favorable conditions for development of small and medium-sized enterprises through reducing financial threshold for using highly efficient IT solutions. Budgetary revenues in the budget of all levels are expected to amount to 1.3 billion rubles, 70 new jobs are scheduled to be created.
