OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2014. Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has familiarized himself with Republican Industrialization Map projects in Aktobe.

Head of Government visited new ferroalloy plant (plant №4) JSC "TNС" Kazkhrom".

Project’s implementation provides for introduction of innovative technologies for high-carbon ferrochrome, as well as the use of new electrical systems, automation and DC furnaces.
The new plant will reduce production costs and increase the output of commercial high-carbon ferrochrome. Export potential for the production of high-carbon ferrochrome to grow by 16%, and of Aktobe Region - by 46%.

The plant was commissioned on December 2013 and its planned capacity should amount to more than 226 tons of ferrochrome in 2014.

After his visit to the plant, Prime Minister gave a number of instructions to competent authorities to ensure reaching a full planned capacity.

The Prime Minister also got acquainted with the progress of rail and structural steel plant’s construction.

The plant’s start-up in the current year will meet the needs in rail products of JSC "NC KTZ" and export them to neighboring countries. Production capacity allows producing 200 thousand tons of rails and 230 thousand tons of section iron.

S. Akhmetov stressed importance of the plant for development of the industrial sector and the region as a whole.

Another item on the work program of the Prime Minister was visiting the regional branch of the party "Nur Otan". Head of Government was presented here NPFIID projects and development of agricultural sector implemented in the region.
