OREANDA-NEWS. February 03, 2014. Yakutia Airlines performed its first commercial flight on Sukhoi Superjet 100 from its base airport in Yakutsk (the North of Russia), thus, starting operations of a new type of aircraft.

From its first commercial flight from Yakutsk to Khabarovsk with passengers on board, the amount of flight hours of two SSJ100 aircraft in the air fleet of Yakutia Airlines has reached 2660 hours for 1084 flights.

While performing domestic and international flights, Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft operated by Yakutia Airlines have transported 54 002 passengers.

“Yakutia Airlines, which is the largest air carrier in the Russian Far East, is one of the unique customers of Sukhoi Superjet 100. This aircraft is being successfully operated by the Airline even during sever Yakutia winter, when the temperatures can fall below 50 degrees, “- says Andrey Kalinovsky, the President of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company. “Yakutia” consistently demonstrates high figures of Sukhoi Superjet 100 operations in different environmental conditions, which confirms the announced performance characteristics of our aircraft”.

Yakutia Airlines has two Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft in operation with the tail numbers RA-89011 (manufacturer number 95019) and RA-89012 (manufacturer number 95020).

Route network for Sukhoi Superjet 100 of Yakutia Airlines connects not only the cities of the Far East, but also destinations in China and Japan.

It was “Yakutia” that performed the first commercial flight on Sukhoi Superjet 100 from Russia to Asia along the route Yakutsk – Harbin in February 2013. As early as summer, the Airline introduced the flight from Vladivostok to Niigata (Japan) on SSJ100, which gave new opportunities for tourism cooperation between the Russian Far East and Japan.

Yakutia Airlines takes leading positions in Yakutia air transport market and demonstrates a steady growth of basic operation figures for 2013 – 1 098 909 passengers were transported by “Yakutia” aircraft.

The Airline route network includes domestic destinations within the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), flights within Russia and international flights. In the Far Eastern Federal

District, Yakutia Airlines performs flights to 8 out of 9 constituent entities, enabling their passengers to fly directly within the region.
