Ukraine Announces Key Fiscal Policy Direction for 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. 2014 key fiscal policy direction in the field of state budget to local budgets relations is to balance national and regional interests aimed rational use of each region’s economic potential of the country.
The 2014 total resources of local budgets compared to the previous year increased by 9.8% to UAH 21.7 billion.
For the first time budget provides expenditures for:
- Expanding network of pre-schools, modernization of secondary and pre-schools children playgrounds;
- Provision of meals (breakfast) for secondary schools students of 5-11 grades;
- Establishment of allowances for amount and quality work performed by medical staff, who provide primary care in areas that do not participate in pilot project of health care reform.
Along with this, funds are accounted for:
- Increasing minimum wage, salary (wage rate) for I wage category of Unified tariff employee;
- Improving financial security of local budget expenditures for salaries of state employees and energy payment;
- Financial assistance for group I or II mentally disabled patients;
- Providing additional benefits for medical staff of emergency medical care;
- Support of healthcare reform.
In general, local budget investment resources for social and economic development of territories was increases by UAH 3.4 billion and is UAH 16.2 billion.
