OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2014. Progress-Ecologia, a Russian producer of filtering equipment for nuclear power plants, has finished a project of Sage ERP X3 implementation aimed at the business optimization. The Project Contractor is Energy Consulting.

Progress-Ecologia Co. is an enterprise engaged in the development, production and supplies of filters and filtering facilities for nuclear power plants and for companies of the Corporation ROSATOM.

All Russian nuclear power plants, as well as the plants constructed in Iran and India by Russian professionals, are equipped with facilities produced by Progress-Ecologia.

Over time, the increase in the production scopes has given rise to the need to improve the transparency of the actual performance of the Company. It was required to have such an ERP system which could enable to put in order various procurement processes, stock management, production materials planning and keeping production orders.

Sage ERP X3 has been selected as a technological platform for designing a system. This solution is assigned for the integrated automation of medium-sized businesses engaged in manufacturing, distribution and professional services. The Energy Consulting Group (Sage Partner in Russia and the CIS countries) has become the Project Contractor.

Professionals of Energy Consulting have automated procurement and stock management, production materials planning and project budgeting, as well as control over maintaining agreements with suppliers and customers. This designed system enables to track the production order progress, production costs and the actual cost of products.

The system allows not only to make efficient planning of tailor-made procurement but also to understand clearly a residual stock at any point of time, specifying the quantity, the stock place and the batch number, as well as to provide the efficient quality assurance management. Alongside with it, in the course of the project the Company has completely eliminated the paper workflow, which had previously resulted in errors, data loss and increase in terms of coordination at each stage.

There are 28 users of the system which was implemented within 6 months. The project enabled to put in order business processes, to reduce significantly certain routine transactions and related errors, and as a result – the total productivity of a company shall be raised. Due to this system the Customer has obtained an ability to manage all stages of the production cycle and to analyze project costs efficiently.
