Moldova Launches Foreign Assistance Data Management Platform
OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2014. The State Chancellery launched a platform of data management on foreign assistance provided to Moldova by development partners. Thus, the citizens will be able to access on the platform www.amp.gov.md an interactive map to find out where and what projects, financed from foreign funds, have implemented in the country.
The platform also allows identifying projects carried out in Moldova over the past years, depending on the sector, place, donors. The data will be periodically introduced on the site by the authorities in charge of the projects’ implementation. The platform was created with the support of the United Nations Development Project (UNDP) and a company.
Government Secretary General Victor Bodiu said that Moldova was one of those 20 states of the world where there was such a platform. „This gives us possibility to find out the intervention areas, sectors benefiting from more assistance. The platform contains an interactive map of Moldova," Bodiu said.
UN Resident Coordinator, UNDP Resident Representative to Moldova Nicola Harrington-Buhay said it was very important that the citizens know how much money had been given to Moldova by the development partners, which sectors the assistance was provided for and where else money were to be offered.
Since 2009, projects worth 2.2 billion euros have been implemented or are under way in Moldova.
