Kazakhstan Develops Industrial Zones in Regions
OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2014. Regional Development Minister of Kazakhstan Bolat Zhamishev has held a conference call on the development of industrial zones in the regions.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Akims of regions, cities of Astana and Almaty, heads of business and industry departments, construction management, industrial control of industrial - innovative development of regions, chairmen of socio-entrepreneurial corporations and others.
Opening the meeting, the Minister of Regional Development said that today one of the most promising tools of state stimulation of actual production is the creation of industrial zones (IZ). "In general, in our country industrial zones have to be formed out of the principle of small and medium-sized businesses promotion and increasing the workplaces in the regions," Bolat Zhamishev said.
Bolat Zhamishev asked participants to pay special attention to the benefits of changes and additions within 4 packages on "Business Road Map - 2020" Program in terms of creating a single system policy on the functioning of industrial zones on December 2013. Thus, creation of one or another industrial zone will increase the region's GRP, the number of active SMB's subjects, the number of created temporary and permanent jobs, increase IAV of industries, etc. Industrial clusters of companies with related or similar industries can be formed on the territory of industrial zones.
The meeting also discussed the issues on IZ Management Procedures, selecting the projects for implementation and created conditions of enterprises distribution, establishment of Turkish IZ on the territory of Kazakhstan (KTIZ).
Summarizing, Bolat Zhamishev urged all participants to take an active part in the work of working groups on discussion of the Concept and creation of KTIZ.
