OREANDA-NEWS. Moscow Exchange is transferring Gazprom shares from its Non Listed Securities Register to its Quotation List A, Level 2 (QLA2).

Gazprom's head of asset management and corporate relations Elena Mikhailova said “Gazprom sustains sound financial stability. The company has a transparent business structure, an open information policy, and a high quality corporate governance system, which we are continually improving; Moscow Exchange including Gazprom shares on its A2 list is further evidence of our efforts. This is an important step towards increasing the company's capitalisation and the liquidity of its securities”.

Moscow Exchange Managing Director Anna Kuznetsova said “the transfer of Gazprom shares to the A2 list is a milestone for the entire Russian stock market. Listing reform is due next year, with the A1 and A2 lists to be unified. Adding the securities to the top quotation list will enable the company to attract more Russian investors, primarily companies managing pension savings and insurance reserves”.
