OREANDA-NEWS. Sberbank CIB together with SB Sberbank JSC in Kazakhstan have organised financing for Maten Petroleum JSC (Republic of Kazakhstan) worth USD 200 mln for a term of three years. The funds will be used for the company's general corporate purposes.

Maten Petroleum JSC is a private oil company. Currently it holds subsurface use contracts for three oil fields in Kazakhstan: Kara-Arna, Kokarna Vostochnaya and Matin.

As a partner of Maten Petroleum we are certain that the growth of the company will have a positive influence on the development of the oil sector and economy of Kazakhstan. The completion of this project is further proof of the high potential for synergy between the financial institutions of the Sberbank Group," commented Alexandr Kamalov, Member of the Board of Directors of Sberbank's subsidiary in Kazakhstan.
