OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2014. Vice Chief Engineer Xiong Xiaofang of China ENFI Engineering Corp. (ENFI) was awarded with the Fellow Certificate of Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM) at the issuing ceremony convened.

Xiong is the 29th Chinese Fellow of AusIMM. This issuing ceremony marks that, it is the first time for the international mining organizations to enroll Chinese experts in large amount as their overseas fellows.

Under overseas mining projects, internationally recognized norms and standards shall be employed for the whole process of the project execution. Only on this ground, the final technical consulting report can be accepted by the international authoritative professional institutions and the capital markets. As a matter of fact, there are no sufficient internationally recognized Chinese experts who have the signing authority on mining technology reports in the fields of geology, mining, beneficiation, metallurgy and environment protection.

Therefore for the long time in the past, the overseas geologic findings, consultation results made by Chinese enterprises, as well as the overseas listing Chinese enterprises, had to depend on the signing by foreign experts. In order to reverse the adverse situation, China Mining Association, Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) and AusIMM organized a training course on Ore Reserves Report Standards of JORC & Fellow Enrollment of AusIMM in October 2013. The purpose of this training course is to cultivate a batch of internationally recognized experts with the necessary qualification in the mining industry of China, who have the authorization to sign the mining technical report, feasibility study report and the other supportive documents such as the preliminary feasibility study report. Such experts also have the authorization to sign public technology report on the securities market.

The Fellow of AusIMM is capable for checking and signing the public technology report and the other supportive documents such as the preliminary feasibility study report on securities markets in Australia, Canada, USA, South Africa, Western Europe, Chile and Russia, as well as the securities markets in regions/counties complying with the rules of the aforesaid countries, including Hong Kong, Singapore and New Zealand.
