OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2014. Sinochem Fertilizer Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Sinochem Group, has signed Memorandum of Cooperation on Promoting Scientific Fertilization with the Department of Crop Production of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The two parties will conduct a comprehensive cooperation in terms of formulation and release of fertilizer formula, manufacture and supply of formulated fertilizer, networking between formulated fertilizer supplers and purchasers, publicity and education of scientific fertilization, and instruction on fertilizer application for farmers, etc.

Mr. Yu Xinrong, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mr. Liu Deshu, Party Secretary and President of Sinochem Group, Mr. Zhang Xuegong, Assistant President of Sinochem Group and General Manager of Sinoseeds attended the Signing Ceremony. Feng Zhibin, CEO of Sinofert and Zeng Yande, Chief of the Department of Crop Production of the Ministry of Agriculture signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on behalf of respective parties.

With enhanced agriculture-enterprise collaboration, the two parties will jointly explore the effective mode to introduce formulated fertilizer to farmers, the long-term mechanism for scientific fertilization, so as to further enhance production yield and efficiency, strengthen the cost effectiveness and income increase, propel the industrial transformation and upgrade, encourage more enterprises to join in the scientific fertilization and provide solid support to national food security, agricultural product quality security and agricultural ecological security. According to the Memorandum of Cooperation, both parties will select, from advanced grain producing and economic crop producing areas, a batch of major crop producing cities and counties, major vegetable producing counties and counties blessed with favorable conditions for special economic crop cultivation, to jointly build “demonstration counties for agriculture-enterprise collaboration on popularizing formulated fertilizer” this year.

With joint efforts to work out scientific formula, organize the manufacture of formulated fertilizer, build intelligent soil fertility enhancement service network, deliver brand-new and tailored service to operation main body, introduce the idea for scientific fertilization, enhance technical training and instruction, promote new technologies for scientific fertilization, both parties will further increase coverage rate for soil-testing formulated fertilization technology, and promote the wide application of formulated fertilizer in rural areas, so as to build a batch of duplicable model counties and explore an effective mode for the promotion of formulated fertilizer by joint agriculture-enterprise efforts.
