OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2014. Many Swiss companies are ready to invest large sums into the economy of Ukraine. The President of Switzerland, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Didier Burkhalter declared during a meeting with the Head of Ukrainian Government Mykola Azarov.

“They are real plans and aiming to realize them guarantees of stability and long-term conditions of work are necessary,” the President of Switzerland said.

In turn the Prime Minister of Ukraine expressed assurance that the crisis would be overcome and the economic prospects in 2014 were rather positive.

“Our conviction is based on the fact that south-east of Ukraine, where three fourth of GDP output is focused, didn’t yield to provocations and are working stably and support the policy of the President and the Government. We have on whom to rely,” Mykola Azarov emphasized.

Moreover, during the meeting the interlocutors discussed the current situation in Ukraine and possible ways of solving the conflict. Mykola Azarov stressed the most important these days was to cease violence, remove guerilla fighters from the streets, ensure safety of the citizens in the capital and normal functioning of eth state authorities.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov stated that the meeting had been rather fruitful and it provided prospects for further cooperation.
