OREANDA-NEWS. January 29, 2014. SIA Palink shareholder UAB Palink has concluded an agreement for the sale of 100% SIA Palink shares to Mego.

Hereafter the store chain Iki, consisting of 51 retail shops, will belong to Mego and will operate under its brand name.

Palink is one of the biggest retailers in Latvia. The owners’ decision to sell the shares and exit the Latvian market was made in order to optimise Palink group activities and concentrate on markets where the company’s operations are more effective.

SORAINEN, with partner Eva Berlaus in charge, is representing Palink – the seller – in the transaction by ensuring full legal support, including drafting transaction documents, assistance in negotiations and support in preparing the merger notice to the Competition Council. SORAINEN continues to work on the transaction to ensure its successful finalisation.
