Bank of Moscow Decreases Commission for Payments
OREANDA-NEWS. The Bank of Moscow in cooperation with Moscow Information Technologies Department and the processing centre Uniteller implemented the Bank’s connection to the state information system of indebtedness and payments registration.
The information system of indebtedness and payments registration, created in Moscow in 2012, is designated for accumulating data on indebtedness for all kinds of state and commercial services provided by Moscow organizations and enables the citizens to pay for these services in various ways (in bank offices, terminal units and ATMs as well as via Moscow state and municipal services portal with bank cards, electronic money, via internet-banking).
The Bank’s connection to the information system enables users of pgu.mos.ru portal to make payments with a minimal commission. The system accepts cards of international payment systems VISA Int. and MasterCard Worldwide.
The project was implemented jointly with the Bank’s technological partner — Uniteller processing company — based on the Unified payment gateway of Moscow. The project is remarkable because it is simple to use and allows saving money while paying online. Now the citizens can pay taxes without commission, the commission for fines for non-payment of parking fees in Moscow was reduced by 3 times, and the cost of other services is now 1.5 times lower. The payment process itself takes up just seconds and does not require additional registration.
"One of the Bank’s main goals is providing a wider scope of electronic services to Moscow citizens," stated Vadim Izotov, the Bank of Moscow State, regional and municipal electronic products direction head. "Mutual understanding of the importance of internet-technologies development allowed providing high-quality support for innovative technologies of Moscow Information Technologies department in the shortest possible time."
"A vast experience of applying our service to public and socially important projects ensured a successful integration of our non-cash payment processing technologies on the Moscow state services portal. Furthermore, our project partners did not have to change their payment interface," comments Alexey Bogatkin, Uniteller General Director. "We are pleased that our participation in the project helped offer Muscovites easy and cheap payment services by means of the most popular non-cash instrument — a bank card."
