Alps Passes Microsoft Precision Touchpad Certification for Windows 8.1

Alps Electric Co., Ltd, and Cirque Corporation, the original developer of capacitive sensing technology, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Alps, today announce that their GlidePoint Trackpad has passed Microsoft Precision Touchpad (PTP) certification. As technology partners, Cirque and Alps have worked closely with Microsoft Corp. to bring about this latest touchpad solution. This solution enables customers to take advantage of the newest touchpad features available in Windows 8.1.

Certified GlidePoint Trackpads will provide an industry-leading experience delivering smooth panning and zooming.
