OREANDA-NEWS. Tata Power, India's largest integrated power company, organised an eastern region partners' meet in Jamshedpur on the theme 'strategic partnering'. In line with this theme, Tata Power organised interactive sessions with partners to understand their specific needs and requirements. The objective of the meet was to communicate with suppliers and inculcate Tata Power's code of conduct, and its safety and value system.

More than 90 companies participated in the meet including BHEL, Alstom, ABB, L&T, Siemens and other renowned service providers of Tata Power. The officials presented and delivered speeches on Tata Power's plans and sustainability model, and the power sector scenario in the domestic and international markets. The presentation also explained key sourcing initiatives that have been taken in the procurement process, vendor portal and centralised vendor database. All group heads of contract departments of Haldia, Maithon and Kalinganagar were present at the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashish Khanna, chief, corporate contracts, said, “We at Tata Power work towards the overall development of our stakeholders. Initiatives like these help us to understand their plans and build strong partnerships. We are thankful to our partners for their overwhelming response.”
