Unique Simulator Installed at SSJ100 Production Facilities
OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2014. Komsomolsk-on-Amur branch of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company installed a multimedia training system to drill skills of SSJ100 aircraft systems testing in the production facilities.
Simulator "Testing of the SSJ100 Systems" reduces time to prepare staff to work at a particular station in the final assembly shop and forms the ability to test performance of the aircraft systems before passing it to the next assembly station.
3D models and animated video brief students through the external view, location, purpose of major components and avionics units of the aircraft. SSJ100 control components display, most closely resembling their actual layout, facilitates not only effective studying of location and purpose of the aircraft systems but acquisition of skills to operate them as well. Employees learn to carry out inspection of all the aircraft systems. The simulator also allows exploring possible defects in the aircraft systems and trains - in the aircraft testing phase - to find and fix them faster.
The system allows the use of two modes: demonstration and testing. Test results are duly saved, which ensures quality control of training.
"Improving the quality of training is regarded as one of the elements increasing productivity. The Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant pays special attention to engineering solutions that reduce labor hours of assembling and enhance the quality of the final product," - said HR Director of Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company Artem Hrebin. "Installed multimedia training system is a unique in its kind software product aimed at internal training. This simulator, along with other instruments, will improve the quality of the aircraft production and ensure assembly tact already reached. It will contribute to reducing the rate of production. The system also allows to optimize the costs of staff training and significantly improve its quality," - said Artem Hrebin.
Currently this piece of equipment used for testing procedures at one of the seven stations in the final assembly shop and is a part of the program to visualize aircraft assembly procedures. Installation of the similar training systems for all stations in the assembly shop of Sukhoi Superjet 100 is expected in future.
