OREANDA-NEWS. January 27, 2014. For the eleven months of 2013 total volume of lumber exports from Russia increased by 7.3% to 11.06 million tons year-over-year, as Federal Customs Service of Russia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network. 

In January-November 2013, worth of lumber export totaled USD3.33 billion, it is 7.4% more than in last year.

8.05 million tons of lumber worth USD 2.52 billion were shipped to other countries; to CIS countries – 3 million tons worth USD 805.6 million.

The volume of Russian exports of roundwood for the reporting period amounted to 16.99 million cubic metres, (7.1% more than in the same period last year), worth USD 1.46 billion (+5,8%). 16.47 million cubic metres of roundwood worth USD 1.42 billion were shipped to other countries in January-November 2013; to CIS countries -515.2 thousand cubic metres worth USD 36.7 million.
