OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2014. Three new foreign capital enterprises have become residents of the Straseni-based four sub-zone of the Balti Free Economic Zone (FEZ), following a tender, the Economics Ministry’s information and media communication service has reported.

The biggest investment project will be carried out by the joint venture ITALPROD Ltd, which plans to produce equipment for processing grapes. The investments will amount to 1.2 million euros, and the volume of sales will stand at 4 million lei annually. The company is set to employ, in the first phase, 50 people with an average salary of 5,500 lei. The production is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2014.

Also, the joint venture FERPONT Ltd will produce steel structures for reinforced concrete. In line with the conditions of the tender, the investments for the concerned project’s implementation will stand at 500,000 euros. The sales are scheduled to reach one million euros annually, and, at the first stage, nine persons will be employed with a monthly average salary of 400 euros. The process is planned to start in the first half of 2014.

The enterprise ENERGY SOLARIS Ltd will produce equipment for capturing solar energy on the purpose of heating water and rooms. The investments will amount to 100,000 euros and the sales will stand at 2.5 million lei annually. Nine people will be employed with an average salary of about 6,500 lei. The process is also scheduled to begin in the first half of 2014.
