OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2014. In December 2013, the average rate of return on term deposits in MDL decreased by 0.53 percentage points, amounting to 5.82 % p.a. (6.35% in November).

As it was informed in the National Bank, the average rate of return for legal entities in December amounted to 3.21 % p.a., for individuals - 7.71 % p.a. Its size in the previous month amounted to 3.64 % and 7.69 %, respectively.

The highest average rate of return on fixed deposits in lei was registered in December 2013-11.81 % p.a. for the deposits of more than 5 years , including 4.5 % for legal entities and 11.85 % - for individuals . The average rate of return on the term deposits for the period of up to one month amounted to 2.88 % in December, including 2.62 % for the legal entities and 3.12 % - for individuals.

The average rate of return for the term deposits in lei for the period from 1 to 3 months amounted to 2.66 %, including 2.69 % for legal entities and 2.43 % - for individuals, for the deposits from 3 to 6 months - 5.99%, including 4.75% for legal entities and 6.44 % for individuals, for the deposits from 6 to 12 months - 5.14 % p.a., including 2.56 % for legal entities and 8.15% for individuals.

The average rate of return on the term deposits in lei for the period of 1 to 2 years in December amounted to 8.22 %, including 7.39 % for legal entities and 8.33 % - for individuals, for the deposits from 2 to 5 years - 9.33%, including 7.89 % for legal entities and 9.64 % for individuals.
