UTair Announces Results of Supervisory Council Meeting
OREANDA-NEWS. The regular meeting of the UTair Aviation Supervisory council took place on January 21, 2014. The Council approved holding a special general shareholder meeting and has scheduled the event for March 13, 2014.
The agenda of the special general shareholder meeting includes voting approval for a large deal consisting on a raft of related agreements for financing of ten Boeing 737-800/900ER aircraft in line with an existing contract for 40 such jets signed in 2011.
These new generation aircraft will be delivered to UTair from the manufacturer starting in March 2014. All of these aircraft will be equipped with CFM56-5B engines and come in single-class cabin configuration accommodating up to 170 passengers aboard the Boeing 737-800 and up to 220 passengers aboard the Boeing 737-900. Cabins of the new aircraft will also come equipped with B/E Aerospace Pinnacle seats with advanced ergonomic design.
In addition, the general shareholder meeting will consider the confirmation of Ernst&Young as UTair Aviation auditor to conduct business and financial audit for 2013 in compliance with international financial reporting standards.
The Supervisory Council has also set the buy-back price for the common UTair Airlines shares at 22.95 rubles for one common share.
UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2013 UTair aircraft transported 9,625,295 passengers. The airline operates more than 150 fixed wing aircraft and performs flights to 110 destinations in Russia and aboard. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs 100 flights daily.
