OREANDA-NEWS. Major revamp of the mixer ©ц3 started in the BOF Shop of MMKI. The Works will invest 5.5 mln. UAH for the reconstruction of facility design parameters.

The renewal of the mixer's electrical, power and mechanic equipment will provide facility security and high quality production.

Last major revamp of the mixer was made 3 years ago. During this period more than 4 mln. t of hot metal went through it. Such quantity is an absolute record for the CIS steelmaking enterprises. The supporting-travel part of the mixer and the platform scales will be gradually renewed. After dismantling of old lining and laying of new one, the assembly of metal structures and installation of drivers will be started.

The renewed mixer will allow the blowers to provide in-time technological preparation of hot metal and its supply for the processing into steel, and also to balance the temperature and to provide in-line control of the chemical composition.

Ў°Continuous running of the mixer and undisturbed hot metal supply will lead to stable planned production and also positively influence the economic indicators of the BOF Shop.
