OREANDA-NEWS. On 22-25 January the Swiss ski resort of Davos is hosting the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting which this year has as its theme “The Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business”. The 44th conference will gather around 2,800 global leaders from business, civil society, government and academia from over 100 countries.

SCM, a partner of the meeting and the only Ukrainian strategic partner of WEF, will be represented by Director of International and Investor Relations Jock Mendoza-Wilson, Director of Mining & Metals Business Development Amir Aisautov, Director of Media Business Development Yekaterina Lapshina and Managing Director of SCM Advisors (UK) Limited Ilya Arkhipov.

Jock Mendoza-Wilson will take part in the meeting on the Scenarios for Ukraine, a project initiated jointly by the WEF and Ukraine's Presidential Administration. The report to be launched on 24th January explores key strategic challenges and opportunities for Ukraine's long-term economic and social development.

Amir Aisautov will attend the Board of Governors Meeting for the Mining and Metals Sector that decides on the key programmes that the WEF will develop for this industry sector over the medium term.

Mr Mendoza-Wilson commented on the meeting: “The Davos meeting is the most important of its type in the Global economy as in brings together stakeholders from different parts of society to discuss the challenges that we all face in the economic and social development of our nations and regions.
