OREANDA-NEWS. January 22, 2014. The forecast of the export of grain crops in the current marketing year has been upped to 33 million tons. Presently there have been sent over 20 million tons of grain to the foreign markets.

Taking into account the shipment volumes record numbers were demonstrated in December and November – over 4.6 mln tons per month. It could have been achieved owing to the system actions of the Government directed to optimization of the work of the national grain logistics industry.

In 2013 the volumes of grain shipment per month increased almost one third against the previous month. Aiming to achieve such a record the Government elaborated an integrated approach to maintaining operation of the logistics chain. The activity in synchronizing the work of elevators, conveyors, railway and ports will continue in the current year as well.
