OREANDA-NEWS. Starting from January 2014, Tolmachevo Catering LLC, a flight catering facility of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport, expanded meals delivery and commenced providing meal services for Aurora airlines.

As the first flight of Aurora airlines had been performed in November 16, 2013, another option became available for its passengers departing from Novosibirsk to Khabarovsk - hot meal delivery by Tolmachevo Catering LLC. Starting this year, the enterprise provides extra meal services: snacks and beverages for economy class passengers as well as hot snacks for crew members and business class passengers travelling on Khabarovsk - Vladivostok route.

Currently, Aurora airlines operates Flight IE5463 on the route Novosibirsk - Khabarovsk - Vladivostok on Airbus A319 aircraft each Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday; starting from February 3, 2014, flights will be performed on a daily basis.

Tolmachevo Catering was launched on December 20, 2012. For this period, the facility produced over 700 thousand meals. The enterprise provides catering services for UTair, Aurora airlines, Ural airlines, I Fly, Nordwind Airlines, IKAR, Ukraine International Airlines as well as for certain flights of S7 Airlines departing from Novosibirsk. Quality of the services offered was highly appreciated by cargo airlines' crew members operating tech-stop flights via Novosibirsk.

Tolmachevo Catering LLC is a joint project of Airport Tolmachevo JSC and the leading global manufacturer and operator in the field of flight catering - LSG Lufthansa Service Europa/Afrika GmbH (LSG Sky Chefs). It is equipped with modern high-tech units including deep freezing refrigeration chambers which allow storage of ingredients up to 6 months, and Blast chillers which keep taste and quality of prepared meals. The current nominal capacity of the facility makes up to 5 thousand meals per day. The menu includes dishes of various world cuisines as well as special meals: vegetarian, low-calorie, children's and others.

Aurora airlines was founded in November 2013 in the Russian Far East on the basis of SAT Airlines and Vladivostok Avia. The main shareholders are Aeroflot airlines and the Sakhalin regional government. Base airports are Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Khomutovo) and Vladivostok (Knevichi). The airline provides air services between the cities of the Russian Far East as well as performs interregional and international flights to China, Korea and Japan. In prospect, Aurora airlines plans to operate one type fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft family.
