OREANDA-NEWS. January 21, 2014. “According to our forecasts, the oil production in Kazakhstan will reach about one million barrels per day starting from 2020”, - stated the Minister of Oil and Gas of Kazakhstan Uzakbay Karabalin during the 15th meeting of "KAZENERGY" Association.

“Our fields – super-giants such as "Tengiz", "Karachaganak", "Kashagan" will be the key projects here. They are in the world top-60 with the reserves of seven billion barrels and more", - U. Karabalin said.

According to him, essentially new opportunities of the country may open up during "Eurasia" project announced by "KAZENERGY" association which will allow to obtain a new information on the potential target of the Caspian basin.

The minister said that the progressive growth of production involves formation of an infrastructure for the delivery of hydrocarbons to foreign markets. During the years of independence we have established a comprehensive system of trunk pipelines.
