OREANDA-NEWS.  January 20, 2014. The PBC signed the Agency Agreement with the International Financial Corporation (IFC) in Beijing for PBC to act as the IFC’s agent to invest in China’s interbank bond market.

The IFC is a member of the World Bank Group. The signing of the Agency Agreement reflects the IFC’s confidence in the Chinese economy and financial market development.

The investment in China’s bond market will help the IFC diversify investment portfolio and strengthen liquidity management, and further strengthen the cooperation between China and the World Bank Group.
