Moldova Allocates MDL 324,9 mn for Employment of Labor Force in 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2014. The document, earlier approved by the government, was published in Monitorul Oficial. It is planned that MDL 239 million will be allocated from the state budget, MDL 1.6 million - from the budgets of administrative-territorial units, MDL 45.7 million MDL from the social insurance budget and 38.3 million - from the external sources.
As the Minister of labor, social protection and family Valentina Buliga noted, the National action plan for the employment of the labor force in 2014 provides increasing the employment, social protection of the unemployed, support the development of small and medium enterprises, increase competition at the labor market as well as improve management of the labor force migration.
To improve situation at the labor market of Moldova the National action plan for the employment of the labor force in 2014 provides the adoption of the active labor market measures, promotion of the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, creating new jobs, improving quality of the labor force, stimulation of infrastructure development in the rural areas, etc. It is planned that due to introduction of the appropriate measures for the employment of population and the reduction in the unemployment rate about 7 thousand people will take advantage of the intermediary services, 68 fairs of vacancies will be organized, more than 1.5 thousand of the unemployed will be involved in the public works, more than 7.2 thousand of unemployed will receive unemployment benefits and the number of unemployed who will be able to benefit individual consultations will increase.
It is planned to finance about 340 projects, to create 355 jobs, etc. For the last six months, out of 21.5 thousand of unemployed registered at the National Employment Agency, 8.4 thousand people, or 39% were employed and the number of vacancies amounted to 19.4 thousand. The unemployment rate reached 4.7% compared with 4.5% for the same period of 2012.
