Number of New Jobs to Increase by 6,6% in Moldova in 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2014. According to “Barometer of professions for 2014”, prepared by the National Employment Agency, it is expected that this year most of workers will be employed in the private sector - 64%, 29% - in the public and 7% - in organizations of other forms of the ownership.
According to the survey including 3.3 thousand economic agents, the highest chances of employment in 2014 have doctors, nurses, managers, sales and marketing managers, programmers, insurance agents, brokers, public administration experts as well as the specialists of some blue-collar jobs: tailors, pastry-cooks, seamstresses, cashiers, salesmen, barmen-waiters and assistant teachers.
This year it will be difficult to find job for legal experts, economists, accountants of mid qualification, agronomists and herd managers, veterinarians, engineers-mechanics and engineers-technicians, psychologists, electricians, wiremen, tractor drivers, vine and vegetable growers, turners, carpet weavers and hairdressers. Average chances for employment have teachers, police officers, engineers, civil and structural engineers, social workers and computer operators, experts in manufacturing products from skin, carpenters, etc.
Forecast of the labor market for 2014 evidences a gap between rural and urban areas in terms of the able-bodied population and vacancies. So, the able-bodied population mainly lives in the rural areas and vacant jobs are mainly found in the cities. It is noted that the current year, about 17.3 thousand people will be employed and covered by various social protection programs. Professional courses will be provided to 2,7 thousand of unemployed and the unemployment benefit will be granted to 7 thousand citizens. Another 2.7 thousand citizens will receive benefits for the professional retraining.
