OREANDA-NEWS. The State Expertise approval was received for the construction of Permskaya GRES, Unit 4. Therefore, JSC “E4 Group” which deals with a full-cycle engineering, construction and commissioning works is enabled to proceed to a major works package.

The Customer is JSC “INTER RAO - Electric Power Plants”, project management is by LLC “Inter RAO - Engineering”. Main equipment supplier is Siemens AG.

Construction of a new power unit was solemnly commenced on March 5, 2013. Until present there have been prepared infrastructural facilities on site, namely: dormitories built, a canteen reconstructed, access roads arranged, heating and lighting fixtures installed in the main building.

By commissioning the fourth power unit of 800 MW the installed capacity of the plant will be increased up to 3200 MW, thus enabling to cover deficit in electric power which the region currently suffers from. Owning to the up-to-date equipment and new technologies, fuel consumption will decrease by 15-25%. In future Permskaya GRES will be allowed to supply electric power to the central regions of Russia due to the enhancement of main network infrastructure.
