OREANDA-NEWS. January 16, 2014. Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand recently announced to levy anti-dumping duties on cold rolled stainless steel products produced by China, the maximum duty rate reaches to 33.32%. The year and a half stainless steel anti-dumping case ended in favor of TISCO. TISCO became the only enterprise to enjoy zero tax rate among more than 100 exporters in China.
 
Recent years, the anti-dumping has become a common means for all the countries to protect its national industries and restrict import, the iron and steel industry also become the key field of anti-dumping in foreign countries. Thailand has long been known as the manufacturing center in Southeast Asia. On Aug. 2012, Thailand lodged a series of anti-dumping probes against cold rolled stainless steel products imported from China. TISCO started to respond to the lawsuits through multi-lateral cooperation, while doing well in the questionnaire, on-site investigation and the plea of not damage, TISCO actively reported to the authorities concerned of the government, assisted China Iron and Steel Association to conduct dialogue and consultation with Thailand steel industry organizations. After the efforts made by all parties, TISCO won the lawsuit, which laid a solid foundation for expanding the market in Thailand and increasing the market share in Southeast Asia.
 
TISCO started to implement the anti-dumping measures for the cold rolled stainless steel sheets dumped by foreign countries at the end of last century and made positive contributions to the sustainable development of China stainless steel industry. In recent years, the stainless steel export of TISCO continues to grow along with the rapid development of China stainless steel industry. Under the background of facing more and more anti-dumping accusation of foreign countries, TISCO established a working system that is based on its Sales Department and supported by relative departments, completed and perfected its early warning mechanism, regularly analyzed and studied the import and export situations, standardized its import and export conduct, and provided a strong guarantee for improvement of its international competitiveness.
