OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2014. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed No. 423-FZ Federal Law “On Introducing Amendments to the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.

The Law excludes notification control over some transactions (actions) of economic concentration.

Adopting Federal Law “On Introducing Amendments to the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” considerably reduces administrative burden upon medium business and allows the antimonopoly bodies to focus on the largest transactions (actions) that significantly affect competition, which, therefore, shall increase efficiency of the antimonopoly regulation in the Russian Federation.

The Federal Law comes into force on 30th January 2014.
