OREANDA-NEWS. January 14, 2014. Incheon metropolitan city, Incheon Airport Customs and Incheon International Airport Corporation made a common front to improve Incheon Airport air cargo system aimed to develop air logistic industry.

Incheon metropolitan city, Incheon Airport Customs and Incheon International Airport Corporation held a MOU signing ceremony to carry forward ‘Incheon Airport Air Logistic Co-joint Business’. This ceremony was held on November 29th in Incheon International Airport Corporation’s administration building.

This business was chosen as an original idea for a new business proposed within ‘2013 common logistics public support business’, which was carried forward by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport since last February and aimed to strengthen cargo industry’s competitiveness through local government’s common logistics’ support. Under the close collaboration of these three agencies, more detailed businesses are planned to be carried on for the improvement of cargo disposition process in Incheon Airport.

Main focus of this is a collaborative business of a pallet used for transportation of air cargo in Incheon Airport, effective storage and disposition of fresh cargo, common customs and quarantine of imported and exported quarantine cargo and etc. In case if this business is carried out successfully, the transferring work of an imported air cargo will be minimized and this will benefit to shorten the cargo disposition time from a couple of hours down to about 10 minutes.
