OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2014. The members of the Government are to approve the Plan of endorsement of draft acts necessary to ensure realization of the Law of Ukraine “On the grounds of functioning of electric power market in Ukraine”.

The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov stated in his opening speech during the Government’s session.

“Recently the President of Ukraine has signed the Law of Ukraine “On the grounds of functioning of the electric power market in Ukraine” which is aimed at liberalization of the wholesale electricity market of Ukraine and creating of efficient competitive environment on the electric power market, including principal requirements of the EU legislation. Today the members of the Government shall approve the Plan of preparing of draft acts necessary to ensure effective realization of this law,” Mykola Azarov informed. “So, we will create a considerable impetus to drawing investments into modernization of production, transition and supply of electric power”.
