OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2014. Party Secretary and General Manager Sinosteel Xu Siwei met with Director of Business Bureau of China Development Bank CDB Wei Wei and his party coming to visit at the headquarter. Liu Andong, Party committee of the Group, vice president of Sinosteel, and chief accountant accompanied the meeting. 

General Manager Xu welcomed Director Wei and his party to visit Sinosteel, and extended gratitude to the support given by CDB to Sinosteel for a long term. He expressed that, 2013 marks the start of the implementation of reform and development project of “Three steps for three years” for Sinosteel. Under the support of SASAC and relevant ministries and commissions and CDB and other financing institutions, Sinosteel sprang no effort to push forward all reform measures, and its management situation gradually improved, basically reversing the situation of loss. In 2014, Sinosteel will take industrial structure and business adjustment as principal line, assault fortified positions and overcome difficulties, go ahead steadily and surely, to further improve profitability, crack difficulties and key points, and lay the foundation of sustainable, steady, and healthy Sinosteel. He wished CDB can continue to support development of   Sinosteel, strengthen cooperation and achieve mutual benefit and win-win result. 

General Manager Liu expressed that, for many years, both parties have cooperated very well, hoping that CDB can continue to support Sinosteel in going out to exploit mineral products and engineering projects.  

Director Wei expressed that, in the implementation of reducing losses and increasing profits reform development program of “three steps for three years”, all works continue to improve, which strengthens our confidence in our cooperation. CDB, sticking to taking serving national strategy as the principal thing, will continue to strongly support Sinosteel important projects involving in national development strategy including going-out projects. He wished both sides could further enhance communication, conduct cooperation in variety of ways, and achieve mutual development.
