The problem concerning high purity clean steel is an important task to be fulfilled for China’s construction of steel superpower, where Sinosteel Group has introduced high purity clean steel technology through technology transactions to set up a platform for the promotion of high purity clean steel technology in China, and to boost the development of special steel technology in China.

The Seminar of High Purity Clean Steel sponsored by the Sinosteel Group was held in Sinosteel's headquarters in Beijing. Chi Jingdong, deputy secretary-general of China Iron and Steel Association, three Japanese metallurgy experts such as Hayashida Susumu, Dr. Liu Jianhui of National Engineering and Research Center of Advanced Steel TechnologyNERCAST, as well as more than 20 well-known experts and scholars of metallurgical industry at home and abroad from Xingtai Steel, JISCO, Shijiazhuang Steel, Qingdao Steel, Shougang Institute, China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute, Central Iron and Steel Research Institute, China Automotive Technology & Research Center, University of Science and Technology Beijing carried on the thorough exchange at the seminar.

Zhang Jinghua, member of Standing Committee of Sinosteel Group Party Committee and deputy general manager of Sinosteel Corporation attended the seminar and delivered welcome speech. As Mr. Zhang said, there is still a long way to go for China to become a steel superpower, where the problem of high purity clean steel is an important task to be finished. Over the years, the purity of domestic steel is not high, and has influenced the application of home-made steel. So this time, Sinosteel Group invited the famous Japanese expert Mr. Hayashida Susumu of Sanyo Special Steel Co., Ltd. to come to China, in order to assist domestic steel mills to improve product quality and technology level of high purity clean steel, and to boost the development of special steel technology in China.

Chi Jingdong, deputy secretary-general of China Iron and Steel Association, said in his speech, that the introduction of high purity clean steel technology by Sinosteel Group this time through the technology transaction is very meaningful, and through this platform, the iron and steel enterprises in China can better learn from foreign advanced technology, production technology, to make active efforts to improve the grade of iron and steel products in China.  

Mr. Hayashida Susumu, the famous technical expert from Japanese special steel profession made a report on the subject of the high purity clean steel technology. Dr. Liu Jianhui of NERCAST made the special reports. 

The success of this seminar has set up a platform to promote high purity clean steel technology in China, and has carried on the beneficial exploration for Sinosteel Group to carry out international technology transaction.
