Belarus Pays USD 168.3m in Settlement for IMF Standby Loan
OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus on December 30 paid a twenty-third instalment of USD 168.3 million in settlement for the principal debt on the IMF standby loan, the Finance Ministry of Belarus said in a release.
Belarus paid the first instalment of USD 99.8 million in settlement for the principal debt on the IMF standby loan in April 2012, with second instalment of USD 97.4 million paid in July 2012, third instalment of USD 84.3 million paid on October 1, 2012, fourth - USD 99.4 million on October 12, 2012, fifth - USD 84.3 million on December 28, 2012, sixth - USD 99 million on January 14, 2013, seventh - USD 84.1 million on January 23, 2013, eighth - USD 88.2 million on March 22, 2013, ninth - USD 82 million on April 1, 2013, tenth - USD 97.4 million on April 12, 2013, eleventh - USD 82.4 million on April 23, 2013, twelfth - USD 83.6 million on June 21, thirteenth - USD 82.4 million on June 28, 2013, fourteenth - USD 82.3 million on July 1, 2013, fifteenth - USD 96.3 million, sixteenth - USD 82.4 million on July 23, 2013, seventeenth - USD 82.4 million on September 20, eighteenth - USD 83.9 million on September 30, nineteenth - USD 83.9 million on October 1, 2013, twentieth - USD 99.3 million on October 14, twenty-first - USD 84.4 million on October 23, twenty-second - USD 84.3 million on December 20.
As previously reported, the IMF Executive Board on March 26, 2010 gave the green light to providing Belarus with the final fifth tranche of the USD 670m standby programme launched in January 2009.
The total volume of financial resources provided by the IMF within the framework of its standby programme for Belarus stands at USD 3.46 billion.
