OREANDA-NEWS. Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced that it carried 13.5 million passengers in 2013, representing growth of 12% year on year, with an average load factor of 86%. The Wizz Air fleet currently consists of 45 Airbus A320 aircraft which will grow to 53 in 2014 with the deliveries of brand new airplanes from Airbus. This fleet will serve a growing network including the already announced opening of the airline’s 18th and 19th operating bases in Lviv, Ukraine, and in Craiova, Romania, in 2014. Existing operations in Bucharest, Budapest, Skopje, Sofia, Vilnius and Warsaw will also expand in the coming months.
