As it was informed in Millennium Challenge Corporation, the winner of the tender shall build new pumping stations, as well as install new electro-mechanical equipment at existing stations; perform reconstruction of the premises; install the mobile counters for the accurate measurement of water as well as conduct drainage works.

The works on restoration of irrigation systems should be completed within 15 months. Applications for participation in competition are accepted till February 28, 2014 in the office of the Millennium Challenge Corporation. Those wishing to take part in the competition can visit the tender objects. As it was informed before, to date, "Millennium Challenges - Moldova" has signed contracts for restoration of 9 irrigation systems on the Dniester and Prut - in Criuleni, Loptani, Jora de Jos, Puhaceni, Roscani, Cosnita, Blindesti, Grozesti and Leova Sud worth \\$66 million. Recovery of these irrigation systems will allow irrigating over 9.2 thousand hectares of farmland, which is processed by about 70 thousand of farmers.

As it was informed before, the irrigation systems will be recovered within the frames of Compact program with a budget of USD262 million, signed in early 2010 between the government of Moldova and the Millennium Challenge Corporation on behalf of the U.S. government. This project aims to restore at least 11 irrigation stations serving 15 thousand ha of land.
