OREANDA-NEWS. December 31, 2013. Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov has held a regular meeting of the state commission for the preparation and holding of the international specialized exhibition EXPO 2017 in Astana.

Chairman of JSC "NC" Astana EXPO 2017" Talgat Yermegiyayev, Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Yerbolat Dossayev, Minister of Environment and Water Resources Nurlan Kapparov, Deputy Mayor of Astana Sergey Khoroshun attended the meeting.

Akhmetov focused on the issues of execution of the President’s instructions on inclusion of the activities to achieve maximum economic benefit from EXPO 2017 in the National Plan for the preparation and holding of the exhibition.

The work plan of the board of directors and management of the national company "Astana EXPO 2017" as well as the activities of staffs working on infrastructure development and construction of the exhibition were discussed at the meeting.

The Prime Minister gave instructions to all interested state agencies, national holdings and companies, noting the need to ensure quality preparation and holding of the exhibition.
