OREANDA-NEWS. Geophysics and Geology Department of SOCAR has completed two-dimensional (2D) seismic research at the southwestern foothills of the Greater Caucasus in Azerbaijan to specify regional geological structure.

Seismic surveys on the site began in May 2013 based on a contract signed with ConocoPhillips. Geophysical research works, covering eleven districts of Azerbaijan, complied with environmental and occupational safety rules. The results were presented to ConocoPhillips.
