Electricity Supplier Servis-Invest Changes Name to DTEK Power Grid LLC
OREANDA-NEWS. Servis-Invest LLC, one of the largest electricity suppliers to industrial companies in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, changed its name to DTEK Power Grid LLC. The relevant amendments were made to the company’s Articles of Association. The new name specifies the company’s objective — to provide uninterrupted and reliable power supply to large industrial clients through high-voltage electricity transmission networks.
Clients of DTEK Power Grid LLC are iron and steel works, coal mining, chemical, and engineering companies. To ensure uninterrupted power supply to its 964 clients the company operates ninety-three 6-35-110-150 kV high-voltage substations with the total transformer capacity of 2,708 MVA and 2,719 kilometres of 6-150 kV electricity transmission networks located in Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
Over 11 months 2013, the company supplied 9.9 billion kWh and transmitted 10.3 billion kWh of electricity for its clients. Ten years ago, the level was slightly above one billion kWh per year. The company pays its bills to state enterprise Energorynok in full. Due to innovative technologies and a continuous upgrade of its power facilities, the company has the lowest process losses in Ukraine —1.12%.
The main objective of DTEK Power Grid LLC is to provide reliable energy supplies to its clients. To achieve this target, over the last two years, the company has upgraded 22 electrical substations and 11 kilometres of high-voltage electricity transmission lines to the amount of UAH 381 million.
Focusing on the clients is one of the main development trends of an energy saving company. DTEK Power Grid is developing a ‘Personal Account’ programme module which the clients will be able to access from the website. It is a simple and convenient channel for cooperation of power industry workers and the clients allowing the consumers to have access to the database, information on tariffs and settlements. In 2014, it is planned to implement the pilot ‘Personal Account’ project at Donetsk energy selling site.
‘Recently, the law on liberalization of the energy market was adopted. In order to preserve the leading positions in the new market environment, we need to streamline our energy facilities retrofit, improve the environmental protection and the personnel training and expand the client-oriented services’, said Oleh Tryfonov, the General Director of DTEK Power Grid. ‘Each year power industry workers are challenged with new complex tasks, however, I am sure that DTEK Power Grid will be as successful in tackling them as it was before.’
