OREANDA-NEWS.   In London between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the joint-stock company "National Company "Kazakhstan temir zholy" (hereinafter – JSC "NC "KTZ") was signed loan agreement in the amount of 40 million U.S. dollars to finance project "Purchase and installation of components of energy in stationary devices such as heat pumps, solar panels, efficient lighting, gas-fired boilers." In addition the Bank has expressed a willingness to provide a grant of up to 400 thousand Euro in order to support and implement this project.

This project has a special meaning and a practical example in the Republic of Kazakhstan. It shows the results in terms of saving energy in the aspect of the main theme of the upcoming international exhibition Expo-2017.
 
Energy efficient replacement of the equipment will result in significant energy savings, concomitant proportional development of the state economy.
 
Borrowings provided by the EBRD are to finance Energy Efficiency Program of JSC "NC "KTZ" until 2020. As a result it will save costs achieved by the implementation of the main activities, reduction of energy transport process and unit energy costs in all areas of industry.
