OREANDA-NEWS.  In late December, Guangzhou Port Nansha Port Area hit the record of 10 million TEU since it was open in 2004. Nansha Prot Area as the major volume contributor of Guangzhou Port, expected to handle 10.2 million TEU (with international boxes 4.1million TEU) in the whole year 2013, with 7.3% year on year growth. It’s estimated that Nansha will take 78% of Guangzhou Port Group container volumes which will up to 13 million TEU in the year.
