OREANDA-NEWS. The Swedish Board of Agriculture decided to make an advance payment to Overumans Fisk AB (the fully owned subsidiary of AS Premia Foods) regarding the latter's claim of compensation of damage and loss of profit in the amount of SEK 4,000,000 (approximately 446,733 euro). The payment was received by Overumans Fisk AB on 19 December 2013.

The total amount of claim of Overumans Fisk AB against the Swedish Board of Agriculture is SEK 25,486,867.70 (approximately 3 million euro), which may increase dependant on the time when the final decision on the claim is taken. The decision on the amount of advance payment was decided by the Swedish Board of Agriculture upon its sole discretion, whereas the amount of advance payment does not indicate the final amount of compensation of damage and loss of profit in any way. According to applicable law, the Swedish Board of Agriculture is entitled to claim the repayment of advance payment in the extent exceeding the final amount of compensation. The claim of repayment is; however, unlikely as in practise the advance payment is not made in an amount, which could be higher than the final amount of compensation.
