OREANDA-NEWS. December 24, 2013. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) made changes to a determination issued to companies of the group of persons of “United Company RUSAL Limited”.

The text of the determination was changed upon a petition of “United Company RUSAL” for reconsidering the determination in the part of pricing for primary aluminum – grades А7, А7Э and А7Е (standard ingots or Т-shape ingots) under contracts for consumers in the Russian Federation.

At the moment quotes for primary aluminum at London Metal Exchange (LME) do not reflect the real price of the goods for consumers operating on comparable global markets, to which according to the determination pricing on RUSAL antimonopoly products is tied, FAS decided to change the price formulae on primary aluminum grades А7, А7Э and А7Е (standard ingots or Т-shape ingots) for consumers in the Russian Federation. Now the formulae price, apart from LME quote, accounts for the regional premium for this type of products for the segment of the global market, where RUSAL companies mainly export their goods.

Provisions validity of which expired are also excluded from the determination and new forms of submitting reporting to FAS on primary aluminum grades А7, А7Э and А7Е (standard ingots or Т-shape ingots).

“The situation on the global markets of aluminum products required changing the FAS determination issued to RUSAL companies. If RUSAL fails to execute the determination or if companies included in the same group of persons with “United Company RUSAL” violated the antimonopoly law, all interested persons can file complaints to FAS”, pointed out the Head of FAS Department for Control over Industry and Defence Complex, Maxim Ovchinnikov.
