VNIPIpromtechnologii Takes Part in VUZPROMEXPO-2013
OREANDA-NEWS. The leading Design-Prospecting and Scientific-Research Institute of Industrial Technology, JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii, which is an engineering center of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co., took part in the First Annual Exhibition “VUZPROMEXPO-2013. National Science as the Basis of Industrialization”, which was held on December 17-18 in Moscow.
Together with the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI and the National University of Science and Technology MISIS, VNIPIpromtechnologii presented a project for establishing an Integrated Center for Industrial Technology Engineering on the basis of the institute.
At a forum held within the framework of VUZPROMEXPO-2013, Viktor Svyatetsky, Director of JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii, made a report on Innovative Development of the Research and Design Institute. He told the audience about main activities of VNIPIpromtechnologii, which include design-prospecting and scientific-research works on comprehensive design of facilities for uranium mining and ore processing industries, and also of radioactive repositories. Viktor Svyatetsky specially focused on prospects of development of the Integrated Center for Industrial Technology Engineering, emphasizing that its establishment on the basis of JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii will allow to ensure technological self-sufficiency and competitive advantage for the national uranium mining industry in the long term.
The Exhibition “VUZPROMEXPO-2013. National Science as the Basis of Industrialization” was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. During this event, Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, and Vyacheslav Pershukov, Deputy Director General and Director of the Innovations Management Bloc of the State Corporation Rosatom, visited JSC VNIPIpromtechnologii’s stand and highlighted the importance of the Integrated Engineering Center’s creation for the nuclear industry and the national science as a whole.
