OREANDA-NEWS.  Media reports concerning the border region between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, were very inaccurate, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Mustafa Al-Shemali said.

Al-Shemali told KUNA that both Kuwait and Saudi Arabia are working hard to improve Al-Khafji oil field, besides other oil fields in the joint region, to reach the targeted production rates that were agreed on by the Joint Executive Committee (JEC) on December 5.

Operations in Al-Khafji joint region are implemented upon the agreement signed between the two brotherly countries, to boost cooperation and deep-rooted relations, especially in the oil sector. JEC is the supreme decision making body, deciding Joint Operations policies.
