UTair Will Carry More Than 13 Million Passengers in 2014
OREANDA-NEWS. The UTair Aviation Board of Directors approved the airline's operational plan and budget for 2014.
The plan includes continued focus on fleet renewal and growth of the Group's performance indicators for 2014. UTair Group expects to transport more than 13 million passengers in 2014, surpassing passenger volume for 2013 by 43%. The plan includes an overall increase in helicopter fleet flight hours by 7% at target of 175,000 hours.
Performance indicators growth will be achieved through operational optimization measures and fleet modernization. UTair retired more than 50 aircraft in 2013 and expects to replenish its fleet by launching 22 new aircraft into operation in 2014, including Boeing 737-800, Boeing 737-900, Airbus A321 and SSJ-100 aircraft. The airline also expects to receive new Mi-171 (Mi-8AMT) and Eurocopter EC175 helicopters for its rotor wing fleet in 2014.
UTair gross revenue for 2014 is expected to exceed 95 billion rubles. EBITDA is expected to increase more than 2.3 times over 2013.
The plan, approved by Board of Directors for 2014, provides for continued dynamic development of the UTair Group in accordance with its long term strategy. The major focus in 2014 will be on the route network optimization, the development of new aviation markets in Russia and abroad, continued fleet renewal, advancing safety measures and improving client services. UTair will also continue to optimize its Enterprise Management System taking into account modern IT-technologies and an advanced Quality Management System.
