Sberbank Sums Up its Retail Unit Performance in 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2013. Alexander Torbakhov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank, hosted a press conference at which he summed up the preliminary results of Sberbank’s retail unit in 2013.
In September 2013 the total size of the retail loan portfolio of the bank exceeded 3 trillion rubles. In the second half of 2013 the share of Sberbank in the retail lending market rose by 0.83 percentage points. Sberbank's share in the credit card market increased in the second half of 2013 by 1.53 percentage points (in the first half it grew by 0.91 percentage points). As of December 1, 2013, the outstanding balance on credit cards amounted to 266.9 billion rubles; growth in the second half of the year was 27%.
As for attracting funds of the individuals, Alexander Torbakhov said that a special service plan for the premium customers of the bank was launched in Moscow ("Sberbank Premier" channel), additionally the one hundredth office for the premium customers ("Sberbank1") was opened. Premium customers placed more than 780 billion rubles in bank deposits. The share of the remaining balance of the liabilities of the channel “Sberbank1" as total liabilities of Sberbank grew from 9.3% to 10.6%.
The speaker emphasized that almost 14 million customers of Sberbank use the service “Mobile Bank". As a comparison - at the beginning of the year the number was 10 million. The amount of users of the online bank "Sberbank Online" increased by 50%: from 5.8 million to 8.7 million during 2013.
In 2013, the number of mobile phone accounts paid for using the service of Sberbank "Autopayment for mobile communication" exceeded 10 million. 350 service providers are connected to the service “Autopayment”. Alexander Torbakhov noted the launch of autopayment for housing and public utilities services.
